The massive bulk of Her body could not be comprehended, the place in which she sat lay hidden between disused dimensions.. She had found this place millennia ago as small morsels of nourishment had squirmed their way out of a hole. The more she feasted the more real she had become, more and more so until it became apparent that she was stuck here.. So she had spun a web, the anchorpoints for this web were the Moon and the Stars and it swayed on a breeze of probability. When the morsels appeared they perceived Her as a great body of light and were drawn to Her, relentlessly tumbling onwards toward their doom. *

Now she had had Her fill and they clung to Her web helplessly.. their bodies transforming into she knew not what. But one thing was certain, countless millennia from now these things would go back from whence they had come, swarming into that place and claiming it as their own.. *

Asar was horrified not only at the loss of his longtime friend and hunting companion, but at the strange transformation that occured upon his death. As the boar had fled after goring Meshpet, his body had seemed to shudder oddly and something had appeared to break free from within. The creature was much larger than the confines of his dead husk would seem to allow, it at once began to devour that from which it had sprung. This thing was luckily unaware of Asar observing it and soon after the sickening display was finished it underwent another transformation, growing wings and taking to the air like an angry wasp.. *

As it rose up into the air, presumably finding its bearings in this new environment it found itself in, it turned around back to where Asar and Meshpet had themselves come from.. The small settlement they had called home these last fifteen years. The hairs stood up on the back of his neck as he thought of his defenceless friends and neighbours coming under attack from this monster. He had to act fast, however exactly what threat was posed was at yet unclear.. *

(i think this is a prequel to the Unnamed) Asar ran towards the small settlement.. time was of the essence. There was no telling what would happen when this thing, this angry spirit or whatever it was, found its way to more innocent victims. His mind raced as he ran.. what had happened? Was it wrong of them to be hunting that boar? Was this divine vengeance perhaps? There was no way of knowing. He came close to a small stream and stopped dead in his tracks.. the creature was attempting to fly over it but seemed unable to for some reason. It sprayed something from its tail.. a fine mist, almost sporelike, into the water. At once the water bubbled furiously and changed consistency, becoming grey and sluggish. The effect spread rapidly.. the grass and plants nearby shrivelled up and died. *

Whatever had prevented it from passing before no longer applied.. it turned and started to zero in on the settlement again. Asar doubted that his simple stone axe could stop this ungodly beast.. but an idea had sprung into his mind as to what could hurt it. Life seemed to act as a barrier to it.. it had been repulsed. He ran the axe over the palm of his hand.. drawing blood. *

The axe was bloodied and he pursued the creature stealthily as it approached the settlement. People were going about their daily business and some saw the thing.. dropped whatever it was they were doing and ran or just stood there stunned. The beast swooped at one of them and this was when Asar, carefully judging the distance, threw the axe towards it. It flew true to its target, this was his axe after all.. molded and created to suit him perfectly like an extension of himself. The thing fell to the ground shuddering, bubbling and smoking.. was it dying? Could you kill something born from death? This caution is what made him keep his distance as others ran to surround the thing. *

Too late. As people crowded around the apparently lifeless form it suddenly deflated, releasing a cloud of gasses. There was nothing ordinary, nothing normal about this cloud.. it appeared to be filled with lightning. As it spread over the seven or so people nearby a hideous transformation took place in each one of them. This moment was the genesis of something terrible.. a combination of many different factors had brought something new into the world. These beings immediately turned on their neighbours and attacked them.. friend against friend, family killing family. It happened in a blur, they were too fast.. Asar stood still as the world fell to pieces around him in a red blur. *
